Juan Carlos Borrero

Juan is a filmmaker from Colombia where he began his career as a Cinematographer. His first film Ananeko won the best documentary award at the Bogota Film Festival and he was a special guest in Toronto and Havana Film Festivals.


After relocating to New York, he was part of the crew of the documentaries The Hand of Fatima in Morroco, Wham Bam Islam in the Middle East and the U.S., The Loss, and The American Coup, among others. Juan more recently worked on a web series for GQ Magazine and Vice in the Emmy nominated series Casualties of the Gridiron.

He also participated in the making of a series of documentaries about the civilians and the conflict in Colombia featuring Putchy Pu Pastor de Palabras and a PBS documentary about the smuggling of tobacco in Aruba and South America.

Juan was part of the team of Contravia, an award winning TV program in Cartagena about political issues in Colombia sponsored by the EU.

Most recently as a Cinematographer of the award winning feature film BRUCE (ABFF Grand Jury Prize) and the short film "secret" which was an official selection of Indy Fest. Currently Juan is the Director, Cinematographer and Co-Producer of A Call for Peace documentary

Rafael Parra

Rafael is an Emmy Award winner editor, Rafael Parra, brings a wealth of post-production experience and creative vision to every film project.


Rafael has a Philosophy and Literature degree from Andes University in Bogotá, Colombia, and a Film Production degree from City University of New York. He has worked for several years as a television editor for Sesame Workshop, editing both, the outstanding pre-school children’s show Sesame Street and its international Spanish version Plaza Sésamo. He has won two Emmys for best multiple camera editing in two consecutive years, 2010 and 2011, for his work at Sesame Street. He is also an associate professor at the School of Media Studies, The New School, where he teaches editing.

Luisa De La Ville

Luisa De La Ville is a NYC based producer/director with 38 years of experience in film and TV. She has produced 5 fiction feature films with major awards in national and international festivals. She has also


been editor and AD in films such as My Straight Son, winner of 2014 Goya awards as well as Arachnophobia and Dragonfly, major US productions. She’s also a film seminar facilitator. Laurie Palmer

Laurie relocated from Boston to San Francisco in late 2002 where she was a Senior Equity Research Editor within the financial industry. She became a Supervisory Analyst thereafter, also within the financial industry, primarily focusing in securities compliance and editorial tasks.


Laurie attended Northeastern University in Boston and holds a BS in Journalism with a secondary focus in Public Relations. She has worked in San Francisco, New York and Cleveland, spanning 17 years of experience. Her passions include travelling, skiing, pet welfare humanitarian services and reading documentaries.

Melodie Carli

A fter moving to New York at 18, Melodie finished her international degree at the Lycee Francais of New York LFNY, and commenced her undergraduate degree at Columbia University.


Shortly after graduating, she began a Master’s degree at Baruch College and graduated with a Master in business and Corporate Communication. While studying, Melodie started working with entities such as the UN. Over the past seven years of professional experience at this same organization, advancing and gaining responsibilities, Melodie joined American Television News as Director of Communications at the United Nations but also managed teams and edited internal UN affiliated publications, conducted interviews with Ambassadors of various UN Missions and Consulates and wrote various articles and press releases.

Melodie also produced marketing and promotional videos for numerous UN organizations, UN Missions and affiliates over the past years and was recognized for her professionalism internationally. During her years in the international arena and thanks to her strong experience in international business and diplomacy, Ms. Carli had the honor and privilege to meet and consult for some of the most prestigious families around the world.

Melodie considers herself an expert in international business and diplomatic exchange,that gave her the opportunity to start her new role as Producer and Director of this documentary. Melodie is also currently a Producer with the Associated Press and will be in charge of all logistical aspects and interviews for the documentary.

Courtney Martin

Courtney, a North Carolina native, began her professional career as a photographer in 2016. She completed some college at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte but found a strong desire within herself to take another route.


Photography was always a part of her life ever since high school when she was heavily involved in the yearbook staff; but it was not until 2016 that her hobby began to become a lifelong career dream. With determination to start her own career and business she used the resources around her to learn professional photography and retouching. Her new found knowledge allowed her to get opportunities in the portrait, fashion, lifestyle photography, wedding and press world. She built a solid clientele while handling all of her own business finances, leads, website and social media networking. Eventually, Courtney relocated her talents to Miami and since then she has taken part in many projects including Fort Lauderdale Fashion Week, Pildora's Sustainable Fashion event (Fashionability) and collaborations with the brands AWARE Causes, PAWZ and more. Courtney plans to continue learning and growing with hopes of doing what she loves for the rest of her professional career.

Felipe Paz

Felipe has a long and successful experience as director writer and producer for both documentary and theatrical  releases in Colombia and other countries of the Americas.


Anthropologist from Los Andes University ( Bogotá, Colombia)  with a Masters degree in Film and Television Directing from New York University ( M.F.A  NYU. USA ). His work is known for blending in a very personal way, narrative elements  of  documentary and theatrical genres. By doing so, he portraits life stories of individuals and communities throughout scenes and sequences filled with visual strength and deep emotion intended to capture the truth of human experience. His productions had been released in many countries and his work  has won awards in festivals in his homeland and abroad.

Sri Reddy

Sri moved to New York City from San Francisco where he was a project manager in the consulting industry at KPMG. He grew up in Silicon Valley and attended Santa Clara University for his BS


in Combined Sciences as well as his MBA. He also completed his research studies at Stanford Medical School in the Department of Pathology. He first started his career as an Research and Development Chemist at Hoffman LaRoche in Silicon Valley with a focus on the immunodiagnostic sector. Sri then launched the technology, healthcare and retail research firm Brigantine Advisors in 2008 which was acquired by Fagenson & Co (NYSE member) and subsequently by National Holdings (NASDAQ: NHLD). He also works in the financial family office industry.

A few of his favorite passions are rehabbing homes in low income housing locales, volunteering at God’s Love We Deliver and hiking the trails by the Hudson River. He is currently reading The Journey Home by Radhanath Swami.

Patricia Scott

Dr Scott is an established expert and leader in the field of communication and has the experience and credentials to offer her clients a unique blend of time-tested strategies and real world application.

Laura Ospina

Laura works for the U.S. Executive Director's office at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, D.C. She relocated from Florida to Washington, D.C. in 2016 to begin her Masters at the George Washington University.


She holds a MA in international affairs with a concentration in conflict & conflict resolution. Mediation and conflict resolution are part of her expertise among other themes like peace building and reintegration. She worked for the International Organization for Migration (IOM), where she created and edited marketing materials for IOM's non-profit partner USAIM. She also drafted reports and briefs to be used to engage the private sector in the Caribbean on counter-trafficking, specifically Trinidad and Tobago. She worked in both the public and private sector which has helped her acquire a unique skill set. She holds a B.A. from Florida International University. She volunteers as an outreach adviser for A Call for Peace in Washington, D.C.
